There is no problem in country’s fuel supply – don’t panic
D.J. Rajakaruna, President of Sri Lankan Oil Coalition, said there will be no fuel shortage in the country due to the ongoing war situation in the Middle East.
Due to the ongoing porch situation, public can be seen going to fuel stations in some parts of the country.
He who commented on this mentioned there was no problem in fuel supply.
He insisted that patriot and diesel imports to Sri Lanka are not taken from Middle East countries, so people should not fear unnecessary.
As he reports more about this,
There is no reason for people to fear. We estimated complete quantities in stock. We can operate without interruption for a month. We have and now reaching the country.
So 37 days of parents and 35 days of diesel in stock.
He also said that air fuel needed for 47 days is in stock.
Even with no excessive ship, we can supply fuel without interruption for these particular days.
Next, the refined fuels we import, petrol and diesel often don’t come from the Middle East countries. Since shipping fees and distance is high we import these from India, Singapore, Malaysia and Korea. Only the imports of lubricant oil are likely to be affected, however the stock we have is enough for a month.
So he said people don’t have to fear unnecessary.
